glove box question

this is the only car iv owned or seen that in my car when i turn the lights on the car both the glove box light and the above compartment lights stay on as well .. and i can see the light a little bit when the glove box is shut ... is that normal ??

also i just found out when you open the glove box on the left side is a switch that locks the rear trunk even when you have the car unlocked it stays locked ... what is the purpose for that ??? im guess keep stuff in the back for when you valet your car and they cant get in it or keep people from breaking in ?? i don't no

on the swich part you are correct its there because only the main key will open the glove box and the rear trunk flap thing behind the center arm rest in the rear and you give the valet the key that is completley black and keep the one with silver emblems for yourself, just make sure you dont flip the switch and forget it by accident since i did that and kept thinking the button was broke

Yea the light stays on. Nothing you can do about it. Unless you just remove the bulb.

Light comes on with the parking lights. So if you turn them on or the headlights. It is on,

Seeing the light is a common issue and there is a tsb to fix it. Basically you just shim it a bit.

I see it if I bend down a bit, I generally never see it while driving.

The bulb will stay on but there is a TSB that minimizes the gap. It is fairly straight forward and uses a few washers on the main bracket. I found it on infinitihelp.com

I did the glovebox TSB. Takes 5 minutes to do. I can still see the light if I really look for it, but the lid closes tighter now.
