Just got a 2003.5 6MT Sedan...

I posted a few days ago about the possibility of buying a sedan with 45k miles. After doing a little more searching I found a 2003.5 6mt in DG with a graphite interior with only 5,700 miles. I got a great deal on it but had to fly from NC to Dallas and drive it home. The carfax came back a manufacturer buyback but I contacted the sales mgr. from the dealership that it was originally sold from and he told me what happened and that he wouldn't hesitate to buy the car. The moral of the story is that there are good deals out there and keep looking until you find the car you want, I almost settled for a higher mileage car but ended up getting one with 40k less miles at a similar price. Anyway, the ride from Texas left the car with many bugs and some kind of tree sap on it. Anyone know what to use to get this stuff off without damaging the paint by scrubbing too hard?

Thanks,

EPinNC

I used BugOff to get the bugs off, and just a good, down-home wash to get rid of sap. Use a good sponge and warm water, as well as a good soap. After that, work on the details of making her look awesome.

I use Turtle Wax bug remover. Was, dry and then apply, wipe off the excess and buff too a shine. It also works well on the black plastic on the inner wheel wells. Congrats on your new car.
