Tick, Tick, tick sound when cooling off????

Hi guys, after driving the g godd and hard for about 30 mins or so I park her and i get this tick, tick, tick sound for about 5 mins after i shut her off...i did a search and didnt come back with anything...have anybody else had this problem? I do my own oil changes and put about 4.5 quarts in everytime. At a loss, funny too cuz my 5 year old asks me if my car is going to blow up every time i shut it off , it bugs the hellllllll out of me any ideas? Thanks

all the cars i own and have ever owned make a ticking sound as they cool down, which is completely normal. . as the hot metal is contracting maybe. . . is yours a very loud ticking sound??

As stated, it's the exhaust piping cooling off. The sound tends to be more apparent in humid conditions.

****s gonna blow, RUN!

But in all seriousness, its your flux capacitor acting up. Take it into the dealer and they will fix it under a TSB.

But dont you have to file a TPS report before getting the flux capacitor fixed?

You shouldn't have to as they some times cover this under the 'rear axle tick'. Its a little different than the rear axle click, but the tick and flux capacitor are within touching distance and due to infinitis shotty build quality, they rub together and cause this tick.

Its all part of a big conspiracy with nissan to ruin your gas mileage and cause rattles.... and ticks...
