I saw that thread a while back, but it's not really a DIY. I'm sure I can figure it out, but it's always nice to hear what things to avoid so you don't waste time repeating mistakes others have already made.

its pretty straight foward for a diy.. the pressing out and in of the new bushing you can use a shop press or possibly a ball joint press

just swapped them out today.. some usefull info if you decide to press them in and out yourself, to press old ones out i used a deep well 1-1/8" socket and to press the new ones in i used a 36mm socket, but note different sockets may have different wall thicknesses that could effect the effectivness. i did not do a diy, as i used a 20 ton shop press, something that i assume few people have in their garage. the old bushings were pretty tight to push out, the new ones i froze for a couple days to contract the metal a little and used all the supplied lube/grease and the pressed in pretty easy.

yea

Yeah my passenger side is gone too, and i replaced it two months ago. today at the dealer i found that the driver side is also bad. I was gonna buy both control arms but now you guys are saying its fixable... i asked a certified mechanic and he said it's not recommended! the alignment in my baby is REALLY bad what should i do?

You can replace them, you just have to use a bearing press and be careful. Lots of guys replace them with the SPL solid bushings (big handling upgrade) but most dealers and some mechanics will tell you to replace the whole thing because there isn't a lot of material around them and it is possible to damage the arm when you're pressing the bearings

I've never used whiteline personally so I can't say either way,
As for replacing them it all yourself it all depends on how mechanically inclined you are, lol. I would do it, but I also have a lift and 10 ton press in my shop

Here ya go!

http://www.splparts.com/chassis-Z33.html

If you need to pick up a camber kit or something as well I might be able to swing you a better deal through my buddy's shop, but if you just need those bushings a vendor like import parts pro will have the best price.

All around very high quality stuff tho, I've got it all around.

I did a DIY on this a while back - it is easy to replace. I HIGHLY recommend replacing with poly-urethane bushings. I went with Whiteline and they are VERY worthwhile.
