This seems to be different from axle ticking, I have heard that before and it does not sound like this at all.Its more of a Clank then a tick, and its from the rear of the car somewhere around the axle I would guess


Happens in lower gears where you can get the most drive line lash.


Get on the gas and quickly get off and I hear a clank.

Update: This has been fixed, Driver Side Diff mount bolt was loose. Re-tightened it and its all good now

 

My car makes the same sound. Not sure what it is either.

 

I was told it might be a broken diff mount, I am going to get it looked at soon so ill keep this post updated.

 

my cars diff mount needs to be replaced too but it doesnt make that sound. well at least not yet. i hope it doesnt cause its expensive to replace.

 

But are yours broken? No one else really has any other explanation lol

 

Time to have a mechanic take a look at it.
