Frozen Rotors

Getting 60K out of rotors on sports sedan is pretty amazing. I go through rotors every 30K-35K. They never warp, but they are out of spec. So far I've had OEM, Brembo blanks (they use to be cheap, not any more) and I'm currently running Cryo-Stop rotors made by Centric. They're available from the TireRack for $61 ea (maybe more for an 05). I like them because the hub hat has a black e-coat so you don't get that nasty rust building. They've actually lasted a bit longer than the OEM and Brembo rotors.

Lol i dont really drive my car that hard, and to be perfectly honest, the only time i ever notice the warped shaky feeling is when im getting on the brakes at like 100+ and 'attempt' to slow down. Then i feel like the car is going to shake apart.
Around town they dont really feel as confident either. I figure the rotors are just done (as they were the original rotors from new) and need to be replaced. Maybe then i'll get some stopping confidence back, even though the car still stops, quickly, as i found out in Atlanta haha

I put on Project Mu NS pads on the rear of my car a few weeks ago and they are much better than the stock Akebono pads. They have better than stock initial bite, low dust and solid pedal feel. I'm still on front Akebono pads as the rears wear much faster on the G37s.
I had hawk hps pads and will never put them on any car. The ebc redstuff got great reviews but were not rotor friendly from what i've read. I looked at endless ssy, axxis ultimates and hawk hp+ (lots of dust) pads as alternatives as all 3 had great initial bite.
If you don't have a budget you might want to look at ferrodo or pagid pads as starters or even the higher priced endless pads.

Warpage has less to do with the rotors and more to do with the pads. Warp is caused by friction material transfer from pad to rotors due to heat.
Had to say it but the oem pads are prone to this. I am om second set and have only done moderate braking and have the warp effect with oem pads and rotors. I did it to the originals as well. Compared to other cars I have owned....they were easy to "warp"

Yea, i dont know how mine warped. They were pretty good, then just bad one day at higher speeds when braking.
What pads do you think i should get instead of OEM then? The Hawks are getting rated pretty badly if you live in the cold (and my car will be sitting outside during a Fargo winter, so i kinda need good winter brakes...)
Still not sure what to do. My front ends getting repainted next week, i need to do compression rods, spark plugs, and these brakes... damn car needs maintenance all at once.

Some people get the B-Force but I read they make some noise under light braking.
Also the Endless SSY seem good too.

Only reason I wont go back to OEM is b/c of the warpage. Other then that they are great. Just read up on some of the aftermarket stuff, shouldn't be too complicated once you read a bit on it.
