Uh, if you have no tire pressure sensor on any of your wheels, what is turning on the warning light? And since when do INCREASED pressures (from high speed running) cause the warning?

And where can you drive 100+ for nearly 2 hours? I have some tests I need to run..........

if you have no sensors in your car the light should be on constantly. you may have a malfunction in your system.

You never want to air your tires according to the MAX pressure on the tire sidewall.
yeah mine says 33psi. and the max psi on a tire is for when you have a max load weight on that tire.

my lights always come on when the weather outside is really cold driving high speed only. i dont know why.

driving high speed? are you from the east coast? if so, try 676 at 2am - 4am. no speed traps and no cops. im going back tonight to LBI for partying... hehehe

Max load rating for the oem tires is 1400 pounds at max pressure.

That's 5600 pounds total. Assuming the g35 weighs 3400 pounds, you have 2200 pounds to play with.

Assuming five 200 pound guys...that's 1000 pounds there....so unless you strap another 1200 pounds to the roof of cargo...you will never achieve max load rating.

I run my tires at 32 psi and get nice even wear all the way down to the wear bars.

so the insane heat has nothing to do with it?

also, where are the sensors located on the tire? are they in the cap?

They are internal, but part of the valve stem. Take a look at the stem and you'll see it's metal. Inside the wheel is a small box.

does the light flash when you first turn car on for about ten seconds or so. if so u have a bad tire pressure sensor. the dealer can tell you which one.if the light stays solid when you first start the car. you have a tire with low air. i would recommend running 37psi. that is what we at the nissan dealer i work at

if you look at the valve stem and it is silver and feels like metal it is a tpms. if it is black and is move around and feels like rubber. it is a regular valve stem. the only way to replace them is to get the tire off the wheel. then get reprogrammed at the dealer.

So you are confirming his statement? Max load rating wont come into play with our cars, but his statement holds true. More weight = higher pressure. Probably more relavent to trucks than our car. OEM tire pressure wont fly with some of the loads I have hauled in my truck.

My understanding is that the dash light will illuminate after about 30 min of highway speed driving if it gets no response from the sensors (missing or non- functioning). Seems to coorelate to what my car does. I bought my car with aftermarket wheels and the tire pressure light would come on after about 30-45 min of highway driving. I took those wheels off and sold them(to my brother), then had my brother mount my new tires (works for a tire store). There were no sensors on the old wheels at all. The light never comes on unless I hit the highway for a while..

In a way I was supplementing his statement.

mine came on the other night after a 2 hour road trip. Pulled over and all 4 tires were over 30 psi. No idea why the light is staying on now.
