This. IIRC, you'll get an audible alarm when a tire is low, but if its just a communication problem with the sensors you'll just get the light (no alarm). Takes about 25 miles of continuous driving for the light to turn on if its a sensor communication problem.

is there a way to replace the batteries in the sensors, or do the sensors have to be replaced with new units?

I am running 40psi in all 4 tires and mine has started coming on about 30 minutes of driving. Does it every day. Don't know why.

my light stays solid from start up. I think the pressure in each time was about 40.... but I'll check again...

sensor has to be replaced.

also if you drive with the light on for too long you may need to reset the tpms itself

double-checked my tires.... two tires are 38, one is 32, and one is 40.... but according to the manual, the light only comes on if it drops to 20.... but I'll certainly even them out to 40....

i meant to post this the other day, but got caught up with a few other things. anyway, i've attached the relevant pages from the FSM as well as a screen grab showing when you will get the warning light and/or alert (buzzer).

I used to get the light on, no buzzer, after driving on the highway for about an hour. I would stop, restart the car, and the light would go off. Now I got the 10 second buzzer and warning light on this morning. I'll check the tire pressure. Thanks for all the good info. I am still confused if the spare has the TPMS monitored - 2004 G35X. ???

i don't believe the spare tire has a sensor. i didn't see anything in the FSM about this, but i removed my spare a long time ago, but didn't get a light. i also doubt that nissan/infiniti would pay for an additional sensor.

I got my TPMS sensor off - one of my tires was at 24lbs and the rest were at 36lbs' You certainly cannot tell by looking at them if one is low. I set them all at 32lbs (the car door sticker says 30lbs). The light stayed on until I drove over 20MPH and then it went off. BTW - I finally RTFM and it says the spare is not monitored (I have a full size spare). I always thought my cars suspension was a little rough so it will be interesting to drive it with lower tire pressure. Thanks again for all the good info!
