Yes...but I am referring to the "pass airbag off" light.

So when the light is on, it means the pass airbag is off. With nobody in the seat or objects under 40 pounds...this light should come on.

My dealer tried 3 times to fix this after awknowleding a fault in the wiring and even purchased a new seat bottom from japan (took two months to come in) and it didn't fix it...eventually they just blew me off even though they couldn't demonstrate it working right in my car.

The only time it comes on for me is sometimes under 10 degrees outside...and only for a few mins here and there. Kinda hoping the recall had something to do with this particular harness.

Dropped my G off at the dealership at 730 this morning for an oil change. The guy told me there is an airbag recall and that he would be replacing the piece (which is a connector), regardless of the airbag light coming on or not. I let him know that I didn't receive a letter or anything yet, but let me know if they have the parts they will swap the connector out.

Said it would take him an hour and a half to get it replaced then I will be ready to go

to clarify which lights will appear as a result of this defect:

Description of the Defect:
On some of the potentially affected vehicles, the wire harness connecting the Belt Tension Sensor (BTS) and the Occupant Detection Sensor (ODS) control unit under the front passenger seat can experience relative
movement possibly caused by vehicle vibration or passenger loading on the
seat cushion. In certain instances, the movement may cause the pin and
sleeve terminals in the connecter to rub against each another. If this
occurs repeatedly, it can cause wear and oxidization of the terminals, which
may cause the contact resistance of the terminals to increase excessively.
High resistance in the connecter can cause interruption of the signal from
the BTS to the ODS control unit. If the signal interruption is detected, the
passenger air bag is designed to suppress. If this occurred, the (red)
supplemental air bag warning light would flash and the (amber) front
passenger air bag status light would illuminate to alert the vehicle operator
that the passenger air bag is not operating

SRS PRECAUTIONS DURING SERVICE

This bulletin has been amended to apply to all current production models. Please discard all earlier versions.

APPLIED VEHICLES: All Infiniti Models with SRS Systems

SERVICE INFORMATION

Information necessary to service the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) safely is included in the "RESTRAINTS" section of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for each vehicle.

IMPORTANT: Turn the ignition switch OFF; disconnect both battery terminals; and wait at least 3 minutes before performing any service on the SRS.

Improper maintenance, including incorrect removal and installation of the SRS, can lead to a serious injury or death caused by unintentional activation of the SRS.

In addition to the cautions and warnings in the ESM, the following provides additional safety precautions:

- Do not use power tools (air or electric) when working near the diagnosis sensor unit (mounted on the vehicle floor) with the ignition switch ON. For example, when removing or installing a front seat or center console, or when working underneath the vehicle near the diagnosis sensor unit.

- Use of power tools (air or electric) can vibrate the vehicle floor. If the battery cables are connected and the ignition switch is ON, these vibrations can be detected by the diagnosis sensor unit and activate the SRS.

- Do not use a hammer (or any similar object) when working near the side air bag (satellite) sensor (mounted on the B-pillar) with the ignition switch ON. For example, when adjusting the front door striker with a hammer.

- Use of a hammer (or similar object) near the side air bag (satellite) sensor can vibrate the B-pillar. If the battery cables are connected and the ignition switch is ON, these vibrations can be detected by the diagnosis sensor unit and activate the SRS.
