Oil Consumption is an issue for the RevUp engines; meaning 2005 & 2006 6mt guys. I'm not sure what the normal consumption #'s are for the 2003- 2004 guys... Maybe someone else can clue us in??

 

^From what I've heard (and personal experience) Most 03/04 go through a qt every 2500-5000

 

do the hood dampers for oem hood work with the strafe hood?

 

Getting ready to install my OEM Rays, do I need to change my lug nuts? The nuts I have now are from my 17" stockers, currently have 18" HP evo and remember the dealer telling me that I need longer nuts. <---longer nuts, haha.....

I used the ones from my oem 17's on the coupe 19's. I think the lug nuts used on all our G's, regardless of the wheels, use the same lug nuts. Doesn't make any sense for them to use a different set, would cost them more money..

 

^Correct, you can use the lug nuts from your OEM 17s on Coupe 19s. I ran them as well when I had Coupe 19s.

 

Mark (SDGenius) should be able to confirm this. I know for some CF hoods for the Coupe they can't use the NRG hood dampers.

NRG makes a light weight hood and standard OEM hood version. You would want to use the light weight hood for a CF hood. I think a lot of people just don't run them or only snap them into place (always leaving the clips out) when/if they show off their engine bays or do work under there

nissan can just tell their vendor," hey give me flat lug nugs for all Ray's wheels and give me 20 conical for normal wheels." It shouldn't cost them anything but it would add a LOT of confusion on the service part. I heard some makers did do that for some BBS wheels. But really its not their choice, Enkei makes a good amount of OE wheels for everyone and so when they get forged wheels from another vendor, that vendor can make their wheels accept any lug they wish. Some lugs fit better then others. I've seen one car the had wrong lug nuts on there and it wobbled slightly at higher RPM like it wasn't balanced.

 

^so your cd player actually works in the winter?
My speakers don't even start making sound until a good 5-10 minutes into the drive and then another 5-10 miutes for the cd player to work. then again it below the doughnut here. (-19 last night)
