Random Little Question Thread
Hoping to get some info. I have an 03 sedan which has the assorted noises associated with this year (front compression rod noise). It had noise coming from the rear, which upon research, I was told that its the X-brace behind the rear seat. I tightened it and applied loctite and the sound seem to go away. Fast forward about 5 months and the noise has returned but seems to be only coming when turning right. Dont think its the cross brace again since I tightened it already, and now that I think of it, the noise was always when turning right.
Hey guys i think there might be a major problem with my car
At very low speeds, under 15km, I hear a LOUD scraping/grinding sound coming from the rear, the sound gets louder when I apply the breaks. However the sound cannot be heard at speeds over 20 km, and there is no vibrations when ever the breaks are applied. I did a thorough search and found it could be either of the following:
Rotors (but how come there isnt vibrations when breaking at higher speeds)
Bearing?
Or Differential?
Did anyone ever experienced this problem?

^You may have a rear caliper jammed.
Mine did and it sounded like a wheel bearing was gone + vibrations + warped rotor + chewed up pads, etc...
It got really bad when I drove a couple hours to a car show, so after the show we took it to a friend's house locally, pulled the caliper, pulled the piston out, cleaned and sanded it and put it all back together with some new cheapo pads just to get me home.
Got home and replaced all 4 rotors and pads, caliper hasn't jammed since.

but if you tell them it came from G35Driver, that might be a different story!
i have camber arms to give me more camber LOL not to fix my camber :-P but i have ichiba and they hold up good and less then SPC's
but im pretty sure the ichibas do +/- 4 degree of camber for the rear

i answered it with + / - 4 but i guess i was wrong . i did a search on here and read thats what it was ... if you go to google and type in ichiba vs SPC you can find threads from driver and my350z about this
Aren't you running -5?
How in hell would you pull -5 on camber arms that only allow 4!
lol
BTW, did you ninja edit that, I could have swore it wasn't there when I started writing... but I'm sick with the flu so anything is possible lol

and yes im running -5 :-P but i also still have threading left to add more so maybe + / - 6 ???
cause before the align i did the camber myself and had it ti -5.5º just to get it to a shop and still had more threads as well
