I wonder if my fan clutch is going.

On the interstate it was running around 188-194, and then occasionally around 203, and briefly as high as 208 with the AC on in traffic.

^I really doubt it's an air bubble. It just happened today and I was driving it really freaking hard on the trip over the weekend, and it performed excellently (actually ran really cool in the brisk mountian air)
When it did it though, my underhood temps were pretty scalding. Usually an air bubble "lies" and the under-hood temps will be close to normal.

The thermostat is only a few months old. I replaced it in preparation to do an e-fan swap that I haven't got around to yet.

Any recommendations on optimum tire pressures for summer tires? Finally running my Conti DW and currently going through the break in set up at 35 psi all around. They feel pretty good and after a 30 mile warm up of various driving they ended up around 37.5-38. I can tell these tires have quite a bit of grip.

Where is the snow mode button in the 2006 g35x?

I test drove an 06 g35x the other day and may buy it, but one thing that bothered me is I couldn't find the snow mode button easily. I have driven the 08 g35x and know it's right on the center console, so was surprised that it's not there on the 2006.

I didn't spend much time in the car so may have just missed it, but just want to make sure everything is good before buying the car. Tried seearching all over the forum but couldn't find an answer

Thanks for your help

I have an 06x. Regarding the snow button, you won't be changing it much on the fly anyway and it will be on the right hand side under the steering wheel.

If you really like to mod, I'd stay away from an X. While there is quite a few dumped on coils, turbod/SCd, in general you're going to have to spend more coin and have more limited options.

Hey, how do I test my radiator fan clutch to see if it's working right?
