for those that ride low (spring owners do not qualify), do you still run an undertray? Mine is nearly ripped off and wonder if I should not use one or get a RareJDM metal undertray. Does the metal one sit higher than the OEM plastic one??

Dave, I went through 2 OEM undertrays and countless times of repairing them. It got to the point where the OEM one just wouldn't sit high enough and would be dragging everywhere.. I've been running the RareJDM under panel for over a year. Because I'm slammed I've installed it so that it sits higher than OEM. Instead of attaching it to the bottom of the bumper up front like the OEM one I made it so that it sits above the bumper against the frame (if that makes sense (its not attached to the front bumper). I've banged and scraped the under panel pretty hard on countless occasions and there isn't even a single dent in it, just some scratches.

If you are twin turbo and have dual FMICs (see below) then the Nismo bumper is perfect. If you have an FMIC that sits in the middle then the Nismo bumper (without modifying it) isn't a good option, look into getting a KuRookie.

It fits a 5AT you'll just need to add an external tranny cooler.

When I added my Koyo radiator I had to add a tranny cooler, RRYDE made a nice bracket for me so it sits right behind the opening in my KuRookie bumper:

^^That's the one I have although I'm on my second one. I hit a tire tread about 18X18" square a while back going 60 in rush hour traffic and this is the effect of the impact on my first Z Speed.

The impact ripped the front of the tray from my bumper and bent it backwards 180 degrees and I drove the last mile and a half dragging the damn thing on the road. I'm too low to get under it and try to bend it back for the rest of my drive home.

Bumper no, but the impact punched a U shaped piece of my front lip in and put a 3" dent in the lip as well. I just popped the punched part back out so it looks OK from a distance but is very noticeable up close. My whole front end is sad looking at almost 100K miles with tons of rock chips and wear, so I'm looking at an 05-06 poly Nismo replica to go on next spring. I'm going to have my lip repaired and molded onto the new bumper at the same time.
