Yeah, I had to elongate the strut tower holes a bit so as to get the bar to squeeze down far enough to clear the hood. Now that it's on, I really like the looks of the CF, though. Probably doesn't do much for handling.

The biggest advantage I got out of my GT Spec bar other than looks was the elimination of several rattles in the dash. That in itself was worth the cost.

Hood damper options...Tein is too expensive and NRG has polished which I dont want and NRG CF is supposedly not for OEM hoods.

Are there any other affordable options? Or will I just have to paint the NRG ones?

Riverside Infiniti offer a CF hood damper that is just as good as NRG.

never go w/ ebay crap unless you are planning on ripping them apart (such as the JDM headlights I used for my retrofit)

IMO, it is a touch lower pitched compared to the Z. Doesnt drone nor does it sound like a fart can. Perfect match for the VQ. I dig mine.

Yay or nay on plastdipping wheels? I'm curious as to what it would look like. I have a full size spare on my X that I could try it out on. Matte black with BS?
