A. Lighter wheels improve handling
B. 45 series ARE low profile
C. On the street a super low profile tire like a 245/35-19 will bounce over road imperfections making you slower and less controlled

the lotus exige comes with 195/50-16 front 225/45-17 rear and its one of the best handling cars in the world

the elise comes with 175/55-16 front 225/45-17 rear

so anyway, what tires do you have again?

yeah no reason to berate you.

Bridgestone makes a good tire in their many versions of the Potenza. I run all seasons on the Z right now because I can't find a wide enough 15" tire and they're extremely cheap, so until I get new wheels, Kumho ASTs it is.

The NSX was another story...

he's a questions to get this back on track ...

well today i hit a tire that was in the middle of the road and screwed the front bumper all up and the under cover for the engine .... my options ....

A - spend the money to fix mine and have it all repainted for whatever they say
B - nismo front shipped and paint to my door for $550 and spend the money to have it fitted correctly to my front end ...

C - im ordering the aluminum shield for the bottom regardless :-) ...

im voting B !!! anyone else agree ??

i finally have an excuse to get a new front end now BWHAHA

Hikkatadori revised Nismo? They make a direct bolt on for your year car. It doesn't need to be modified.

I say get and estimate first on the repair, then go from there.

Sorry to hear about the damage Chris

B ftw

Question:
should I buy this, fix the head gasket, do some crazy off roading and then sell it for a profit or will it end in heart break?

Eh I see no reason why not. I'm not a Jeep guy, but from the description it sounds like the problem is well isolated and assured. You may not make a profit by the time you fix it, but maybe?

I vote B, Ive become a big fan of that bumper with the inserts and its a great price. Do you have an OEM lip on your bumper? If so ill buy it and you can put it towards the Nismo.

congrats on not even knowing what size tires you have because if you have those, not only is your sidewall just as tall as mine, but your speedometer is of by 6.6%

and which toyo proxies, their are a bunch of different types

and the lotus being light doesn't matter, a light car could better handle low profile tires but they didn't see a reason to do that
Dude your tires are big as hell look at them, they're like lifesavers. I could barely put tire shine on mine cause they're so thin. My speedometer isn't off. Nice try. It says the same speed on my gps as my speedometer. The tires are toyo proxes t1R
