then you dont have 255/45-19s in order for your speedo to be right u would need 255/35-19s

Jorge, you sure your rear tires are 255 45??? That doesn't sound right.
Mine are 245 40. 255 45 would look really chunky.

Oops, that was a typo, I was on my phone typing quick at work. I got 225/40 front and 255/35 rears that's correct.

New Q: How do you know if your synchros are on their way out?

Trans is hard to get in gear, or grinds when you pit it in gear.

That cam also be signs of a clutch not fully disengaging as well.

the dealer installed an exedy clutch on my rsx and never adjusted the clutch pedal so it became harder and harder to get into gear, but i thought I was just being a spaz and missing second, then one day on an 8600 rpm shift to 2nd gear I ripped all the teeth off or something and when I tried to shift into 2nd after the traffic light my tranny sounded like a pinball machine...lucky I had a little warranty left so the dealer rebuilt the tranny. Then I got it back and 2nd still wasn't going in easy, so I adjusted the play on the clutch pedal and after that it went in like butter...if only I had thought of it before the tranny exploded.

Q:
I miss high revs, how hard is it to swap in a VQ35HR?

^Probably not easy. You would need the computer to go with the HR, and that could possibly pose a problem for you as there were other changes from 04 to 05 (or even halfway through 04) with other components that "talk" to the ECU like the transmission computer (not a problem for you obviously, just an example)

Your car still might pose less of a problem because of being a MT, but with a swap like that, there's often a ton of tiny, unforeseen problems that crop up. :/

Then again, there may not be that much to it.
Maybe someone with a more complete understanding of all the differences between the two engines can chime in, if not, you might have to take that question to the tech section.
