I always hated the audis with the black trim on the bottom, makes it look way cheaper, which is why they haven come with it anymore for quite a few years. And the VW golf isn't sport/luxury. Makes the car look higher with plastic bottoms

I agree the BMW pics are very bad examples.

the GTI's level of luxury is pretty much on par with the g35, VW's are more solid if anything, just fwd and not marketed that way

and the e46 was out at the same time as the V35 so I don't see why you would say that is outdated compared to an 04 G35

idk painting the black plastic just makes it look like an 05-06

also that part of the car always gets dirt embedded into the paint so I'm not in a hurry to paint it

now if I upgraded the bumper I would have to so something about the plastic because it would look odd

The gti isn't entry lux like the g35 sedan, you think is on par cuz it's a newer car that you're comparing to a different year range. That bmw in the first picture that I said looks dated is not an E46 M3 btw, that's a 3 series. And by dated I don't mean the year but the style of the car, doesn't even have led tails iirc. Agreed the 03-04 g35 sedan looks dated too if left stock with the sills unpainted, stock front etc.. but modded they look much newer than that 328 cuz the G has sleeker body lines. I don't know why you compared it to that car anyway cuz that car doesn't have black plastic lower sills. Most cars that come with those black body moldings are older, cheap cars. You say you don't want your car to look like an 05-06. Who wouldn't want their car to look newer? Lol

The best intake for your car is the one it came with! Save your money and buy a billet grill.

painting the black plastic makes the car look more bulbous and less sporty IMO

I would do the following mods before painting the black plastic:
Wheels
plenum spacer
stillen gen 2 catback
assorted strut braces
tune
ss brake lines
double din nav and/or carputer
brembos or other bbk
deck lid spoiler
vortech
high flow cats or test pipes
gialla grill(or whatever u call it...where do you get those anyway?)
color match door handles
nissan emblems

That's a perfect excuse for ricers when people make fun of them for having unpainted bodykits. "It looks less sporty colormatched yo!" Lol

sorry, you are wrong AGAIN. I owned a Jetta and it is no where near the level of comfort and luxury of a G35. Actually, they are complete crap with horrible maitenance and performance histories. The Audi A4 is on par with the G35 from a luxury/market class perspective. Additionally the G35 and Jetta or even the Passat have never been catagorized together from a marketing/sales standpoint.

You seem to always default your comparisons to German automobiles. Jealous of your buddies or something since you cannot purchase one?

i don't even think i'd compare an a4 to a g35. i guess it depends on the year. but the a4 is just like the jetta, leather and plastics make the car smell like a box of crayons, headliners and door panels don't last for ****, maintnance is ok if you go by vw/audi maintnance list. i had a 2002 GTI, and have driven many a4's and jettas and IMO i think they can NOT compare to a G35 sedan.

Geez guys. Stop freaking arguing!

G35 plastic sills are ugly
Audi's plastic sills are ugly (always disappointed me to, because factory painted sills would have helped that car a lot)
The VW's are beyond ugly, they're fugly
Same applies for the avalanche, sienna, and element, and any other car with them. Bare plastic body panels = cheap&lazy.
