I noticed when looking at my car that the drivers side is 1/2-3/4' lower than the passenger side. After measuring, the drivers side front wheel well at dead center is 27 5/8' from the ground and the passenger side is 28 1/4 also at dead center.

I know that some manufacturers deliberately do this, but I wasn't sure if Infiniti did also. Is this within tolerance limits for our car (2004 sedan) or are my springs fatigued?

Please don't tell me I'm fat, I weigh 113 lbs and am only around 5'4"!

On a serious note, when I put my Eibachs on my coupe I thought that something was wrong because I was about the same variance on either side. Then I realized that the ground that I was on was off about an eighth inch. The slab on the driver side was higher which was compressing the suspension and the passenger slab wasnt so the suspension wasnt being compressed. When I got it on level ground the measurements were the same all around.

Chica, my car sits the same as yours. It did stock, with H Techs, and now with S Techs. I'm planning to get coils in the next couple of months and I'm going to even her out all around.

The car was sitting on a flat surface and the air pressure is 33-34psi all around. The tires are 235/55/17's on the front, thus the slight height difference from the "slammed" cars and purely stock cars.

So... does anyone actually know anything or is everyone here going to just jibber-jabber all day?

How flat was the ground?

Some shops will set the alignment slightly off to compensate for the "crown" of the road so that you'll track straight on roads lightly slanted to let the rain run off to one side.

The ground was level as it was the end of my driveway. I think I'll call the dealership and see what the techs say then report back. Thanks all for... well, for.................. for..................
