Most of the rattles in these cars can be quieted with just a little felt tape. Most people are just very resistant to taking a part the interior. Luckily, the interior panels on this car come out very easily and go back together perfectly.

I wouldn't call these cars "shoddy" at all. They're extremely reliable per all the long term reliability surveys on both JD Power and Consumer Reports. Where Nissan did slip up is taking the time to look at all the potential rattle areas as these cars loosen up. If you guys think these cars rattle badly, go take a spin in 04+ TL.

My friends 99 G20T has 150k and doesn't make 1 squeak inside and never has. Thats what confuses me about the G35.

I can vouch for the 04 TL. I took care of most of the rattle except the one under the dash. Took it apart at least 3 times but could never found the source. I even drove with the dashboard apart for a full damn month and no solution. Great front wheel drive but poor quality. Leather seat sucks too
