washer fluid not working

Hi, I'm having a problem that when I press the wipers so that the washer fluid comes out no liquid comes out. I've filled it up and I've taken apart the area by the windshield only to realize that there's only a hose there. Is there like a pump or something and where would it be located in?

The pump is under the washer fluid reservoir behind the front bumper. Check the wiring connection there or the fuse could be blown. Sorry, my car is not here or I would look up which fuse in the diagram.

Mine seems to be clogged too. The pump works, the tank is full, but only a dribble comes out with the wipers. Someone said it could be a crimped line, but it's the same result with the hood open or closed. Tried cleaning the nozzles with a toothpick / safety pin but there was no improvement. Any other suggestions?

It isn't too hard to trace the lines from the nozzles all the way to the reservoir, it just takes removing plastic panels and the wheel well. There are two one way valves in the line. If you blow through the end on the reservoir side, you should be able to hear or feel the air coming out of the nozzles. I once managed to pinch the line under the battery!

If you can hear the pump but nothing comes out, or only a dribble, the problem is quite likely that the hose is pinched under the battery cover or cowling. Check through there and make sure it's not pinched.
Also, there's a little white check-valve or filter or something right around the battery area, take that off, and run the washer and see if it squirts out, if so, you know the pump is fine, and the clog/pinch is after that point.

Bump! ok having the same problem. checked the lines carefully, no pinches. When I pull the line apart before the check valve and turn on the fluid, it comes out the hose kind of like water out of a drinking fountain - does that seem like the right amount of pressure? Once it warms up I am going to use an air compressor to see if I can blow out the lines ahead of the check valve.

^If you held it pointed straight up, about how high would it go
(Ugh, there are way to many innuendos to be had off of that)

Haha, I didn't really measure but I doubt it would have been more than a foot or so, it was not super-high pressure but it was definitely coming out.

Ok, I figured it out. Turns out the check valve in the line was the culprit. Replaced it with one from my aquarium (for testing only) and the washers worked better than ever. Just ordered some replacement check valves online.

Hey guys so I've noticed my lines are clogged and check the lines from the wipers to check valve and doesn't seem to be clogged or fluid coming out from pump, but checking I did fill the container with new fluid. What is easy way to DIY. And hopefully quickest, don't have garage and its cold out!
