Angry Speedometer, abs, ses, vdc off light. Malfunctioning.

Alright so I finally had time to take it to a shop and have the car checked. These codes came using x-431 tool

5 codes
P0500 : veh speed sen circ
P1212 : tcs/circ
U1001 : can comm circuit
P1574 : ascd vhl SPd sen
P0507 : isc system

Car was recently in a front end accident on the passenger side.

Symptoms:
Speedometer not working (engine revs do work and lights all work but speed says 0 even while moving)
Abs, ses and vdc off light are all on

Any ideas?

Sounds to me like some wiring was damaged somewhere.....most likely in he crash area. I'd start looking for a damaged harness

Upon further research I found this thread for a 2k4 maxima. same codes and actually same issue.
http://forums.nicoclub.com/help-2004...m-t355545.html

In keeping the knowledge base going:

The cause of this problem was a dead short in the ABS control unit. The short was between the IPDM to ABS control unit. The red/black power feed was grounding out over bumps to the ABS actuator bracket.

Luckily it was not the ABS unit itself because that would have been a $1300 job.
Can anyone go more into dept with this? I honestly have no idea what he's talking about.
