so I have the exact same problem, I never knew they extended the warranty to 10 years, is it only in the US? because I am currently in Canada, I went to the dealer the manager took some pics of my 3 infected doors (2 of which are bad) I am waiting for a call back to see what they can do, if it will be even covered under warranty I have a 2004 model I'm hoping for some new doors...

I went to the dealership yesterday. From reading this thread and others, I was prepared/expecting some push back from the service dept. Luckily there was none.

The service rep ordered new doors (3) and started the claim. The corrosion wasn't too bad as some of the pictures posted. I had some bubbling on the outside of driver side doors (with rusting along the inside) and rusting on the inside pillar of the rear passenger door.

I was in my 7 year delay but they changed 3 doors on mine. I'm not sure if they extended it to the 10 years here.

so finally I GOT 4 BRAND NEW DOOR SHELLS installed.

only issue I got with the work they scratched 3 of my window tints and there seems to be a rattle when I close my drivers door, just might look into that myself. I got 4 new door, enough of complaining...

I'm in Canada as well, with the same issues. Did they say if the 10 year warranty was for Canada as well? I have a 2003 and hopefully its under warranty so I don't end up paying for the labour.

when I went there that's what I asked them, they never said yes or no, but they just told me it is covered when they ran my VIN#, go ASAP it takes a few weeks for them to approve this...

Angry My b pillar rust

I have this B pillar rust as well on my 2004 sedan. I am in Ontario Canada. I just called Infiniti customer service now (1-800-361-4792) and after explaining this condition and them looking up my VIN# they told me that it is not covered. They said that the 7yr warranty that was extended to 10yr was only for instances where the rust has went right through so that there is a hole. Brutal.
For those that have had this fixed under warranty in Canada, please let me know what dealership did it.
Thanks!

PS - here are pics of my rust.

This is what they told me for a couple of years. When I demonstrated that the rust was coming from the inside and the exterior surface had zero strength, they agreed to fix it.

Do you live in Ontario?
If so, what dealership did you get it fixed at?

The car lived for 4 years in Detroit, 2 in Pittsburgh and now at 3 in Houston. Noticed it in Detroit. Argued with Infiniti about it in Pitt until they agreed to fix it. Actually had the repairs done in Houston. Obviously, the Texans had no clue what they were looking at.

i went to dealer for a leaky gasket and when he saw my doors, he said he could have them replaced....and my rust isnt as bad as many of you guys

theyre going to replace 3 of 4 doors. i have a 2006 G35x . they dont even need to check vin number to see if eligible, as long as it was within the 10 year warranty, its eligible. they were basing this on an internal memo

I have small dots of rust in the middle of the pillars, barely noticeable. I'm not going to do this but I came across these items on ebay that cover the pillars.

Could be a cheap solution if for whatever reason infiniti won't fix it for you.
