Hi guys
I have some rust that starting to come out from the driver door b-pillar on my 06x . The dealer and infiniti Canada keep telling me that the extended warranty was only for the 03-05 ... So now my question is if there is a way to repair this (body shop ) ? or I need to buy the complete door ?

I too have the B Pillar rust problem. I have also heard that it is easy to "unclip" the black plastic covers and clip on a replacement part. Anyone have info on this and part number?

If the covers were plastic, they wouldn't be rusting. The 350z has easily removable plastic b-pillar covers.

There are aftermarket covers for the metal parts on G35s, like these "carbon fiber" ones.



But that won't fix the rusting from behind that our cars have. For that, you need a new door panel or body work, but since Infiniti's fix was new door panels, that means the labor cost for the body work to get behind there and fix it is probably going to be more expensive than a new door panel.
