I dropped by Dixie Infiniti In Mississauga yesterday to get my doors looked at. I had some rust on the driver side door and some major rust on the rear right passenger door. As far as I can tell, there wasn't any major rust on the rest of my doors (maybe a tiny speck on a B pillar or so). I came in hoping that they would replace my 2 rusted doors w/o giving me a hard time. The receptionist came out and took a 5 minute look at my doors and told me I qualify for 4 door replacements! As you can see, the rust on my doors are nowhere near as bad as some of the other guys hear so if the dealer is giving you a hard time don't give up and at least try another Infiniti dealer! I bought my 05 G35x from a KIA dealership and am the 3rd owner. If I can get 4 doors replaced then there's no reason why guys who have worse rust issues are getting treated like $hit by Infiniti!

It has to be perforated through the pillar.
I dropped mine off a week ago and they called and said it will be done by friday. Pretty good for replacing and painting 3 doors. Plus they gave me a 2013 Ex37 as a loaner. Nice car but I def miss my 04 sedan! The shifting on the auto ex37 is messed up. Feels like its hunting all the time.
All in all process took about 3 weeks...including ordering the doors.

Ill try and post pics once I get it back.

Be thankful you got an Infiniti as a loaner, they shafted me with a CVT Nissan Versa! Although it had great interior space, the weak little 4 banger with a CVT transmission didn't help during my 50 min daily highway commute.

I get mine back tomorrow. 4 new doors including molding and chrome. Awesome warranty! Rust was only apparent on drivers door, but the rep from Infiniti pointed out barely visible spots on the other 3, so 4 new doors it is!

Well i got mine back yesterday with 3 new doors. I was a little worried about being able to tell a difference between the new doors and old faded paint, but i am pleasantly surprised! Not only did they match it perfectly, they also filled a car door ding on my rear quarter panel (chipped down to metal) and the surface rust forming on my wheel well lip. As well as some other small spots. I guess they needed to use up the leftover paint. Seemless work.

I've also never seen my car that shiny. I don't know what they used..but even the black plastic side skirts look new. Damn.

It depends what year your car is. 03-05 rust perf. warranty has been extended to 10 years from the date the vehicle was put into service. This is what I was told by warranty manager. I have a sedan, so not sure if it also applies to the coupe.

I got my car back a few weeks ago and she looks better than ever! The bodyshop tried to get me to fork up $600 for them to match the quarter panels to the doors but I declined. I guess that's the price I pay for for new doors! :P I tried to ask the shop to touch up a few scratches and paint chips on the bumper but they said that I would have to pay another $600+ for that since Infiniti wouldn't cover it. Overall I am super satisfied with my experience! It doesn't look so back without the colour matching either. Only issue is that they replace the 4 rear window screws that I grinded down to stop that squeaking noise with 4 new ones! It was annoying to have to take off the rear door panels again but it was a lot easier the 2nd time around.

Since my local dealer doesn't have a body shop, they farmed it out to a local independent. They colour matched and even fixed the stone chips on the front fenders in order to blend them in. Needless to say, I'm very pleased.

Can I take it to a Nissan dealership instead? Ontario, Canada.

Your best bet would be to call Infiniti canada, and explain your situation. They will require your vin # and will tell you if your car is covered and whether or not you can bring it to nissan. Im guessin no though.

When I bought a belt from nissan, they had to google the part # because the nissan dealer didnt have access to infiniti's catalogue.
Effers.
