Water leak on floor of rear driver side.

My floor on my driver side in the back is collecting large amounts of water. i am not sure where it is comin from. Sunroof drains have been blown out. Have an amp installed and wires ran but im not sure if thats the problem. Any suggestions?

Buy some damprid fast so you can prevent mold from growing. Check the seals, can you follow the water to near the door? Did you park in a flooded area?

its mostly dry now but im trying to get it somewhere to look at it cause i cant trace it anywhere. it seems like its comin from the middle of the car. its only collecting in the back on driver side. i can only pull the carpet up so far so its hard to tell.

Ok do this, While sitting in the chair behind the drivers side, look at the floor were the drivers chair is bolted in. The Cover next to the armrest take it off, right behind the metal were the chair is bolted down, there should be a little dip in the carpet, with your fingers push down on there, does it feel wet?

Hmm, not good you need to take apart your interior

you see how it slopes down right before the chair mounting point?

I am pretty sure you have water pooling there and if it is in fact pooling there then you most likely have might have a gallon of water sitting in your car, The floor is flat, but there are these foam pads which make the floor flat, water goes in there and these foam things will absorb water.

I would defiantly take apart the interior and take out all the water, then roll with out anything in your car next rain storm and see were the water starts coming from then go from there. Hopefully it is not as bad as you see in my pictures. The water sitting there does not do anything to the car physically since its just pooling there and not messing with the electronics, but bacteria will start to grow and you will have problems with smelling..ect

If you have a friend with a wetvac and you know how to take apart the interior that's all you need. Also you will need to unplug your battery to fully remove the carpet as its looped around the airbag sensor, since you need to unplug it I would be safe and unplug the battery. You might have the airbag light go on, but once its plugged back in, you can do the airbag reset procedure.
Good luck!

oh.... that does qualify for flood damage... did you ever think about talking to your insurance about that!

^ I guess it can be classified as minor flooding, but nothing got damaged though.

I just had to suck the water out and let everything dry. I have a deductible so paying someone else to do what I did plus maybe having to get my Insurance involved was not worth the hassle.
