stillen gen 2 vs. motordyne vq catback

I am trying to decide which exhaust to get, megan racing OE-RS or a motordyne vq catback. there is a big price difference. ive done some research but i just wanted some opinions so in terms of sound/performance/quality, which one would be the one to go with?

megan racing - http://meganracing.com/products/prod...d=199&catid=15

motordyne vq - http://www.motordyneengineering.com/index.php?cPath=1_6

In terms of sound/performance/quality go with the Motordyne. Their R&D is top notch and Tony is not making any more of them after the remaining 3 he has left are gone.

Personally, I have a Stillen.

Motordyne's products are top notch in terms of quality and performance gains. I wouldn't hesitate to buy any of their products.

I have an HKS muffler/05-06 middy/HR Y-Pipe because I bought it way before the MD exhaust was released. If I was in the market for a catback exhaust today Stillen and MD would be at the top of my list.

As far as I know nothing else. Just not enough demand for the sedan exhaust.

I just bought a Remus muffler, a coupe Y and some high flow pipes. I was about to have a full catback made but from my lastest reading seems like a lot of people kept the 05 middy. I want to save a bit on weight but also get a small gain on my 05 mt. What do you guys advise. Note that the Remus will give a deeper note and better flow. But if there aren't much change, I rather save my money.

Megan uses 18 gauge stainless steel instead of the usual 16 gauge so it's thinner and it has mild steel flanges instead of stainless steel. Almost every single maker uses mild steel flanges and claims 100% stainless so it's nothing new or a big problem. 18 gauge is okay for a rear section and I haven't had a problem with the 2 on my car for close to 2 years. I also didn't see a problem with the welds on any and I owned 3 rear sections total, 2 that I am using.

I've been thinking to go back to a single exhaust for weight savings and make a single 3.5" or 4". A 3" y pipe going to a single 4" or 3.5".

not sure if this has been mentioned but the motordyne exhaust looks like 3" piping... Looks huge on my car.
