I know this is old, but I am finally starting my wire tuck. How the hell are you guys getting things to reach without having to lengthen anything? I feel like I am going to have to cut and splice extensions into everything!

^I had to add some extensions into a few wires, not all of them though. I drilled holes on both sides which allowed most of the wires to reach. But all of those saying that they didn't drill and everything fit fine, IDK either. Maybe different years/models have different length harnesses.

Yes, just need to extend the wires and hoses.

yea guys, i just tucked my 04 sedan on the passenger side...i didnt do any drilling or extending but it is awfully tight...i got everything under the wheel wells but its pulling pretty tight. thinking about removing the battery box and cutting the zip ties that hold the harness to the frame, did this all the way up to the battery while tucking and thats the only way i got enough room to make it all fit. also there is a group of grounds that are located in front of the battery on the negative side...it helps tremendouly to relocate that grouping of grounds through that same hole and ground them under the wheel...theres about 3 holes from what i could see that were far enough back from the wheel to where i felt safe to ground them under there. will post pics later at work right now

Haha sorry man ive been busy as hell lately. Ive actually gotten both of the large harnesses tucked on the passenger and driver side..but a couple days ago my timing chain tensioner decided to start acting up, and the chain is smacking the guides, so thats been my main concern lately. I can upload pics tmr if i get a free minute at the shop. Sorry about the delay again.

Hey man, just keeping you updated im still on this timing chain issue just got the parts in yesterday and been too busy at the shop to mess with the G these past few days, but you have my word i will get pictures for you. I have the whole front clip off at the moment so i cant get too in detail with under the wheels, but you can see how i pulled the harnesses through on both sides and where i relocated the grounds to. I still think it would be a better job if you go in and extend the harnesses by about 8 inches on each side to give it safe clearance and possibly mount or seld some steel covers for added protection though. It will work for now as its not my daily but the last thing you want is to put in all that work on a wire tuck and end up breaking a harness or grounding out wires due to rubbing. But anyways, back to the point...ill get pics and tips up over the weekend for you. Again sorry for the delay but my timing chain has definatly been first priority

Well, it didn't exactly 'get deleted'

He deleted it himself at the end of last May with the comment "My thread"
Sooooo... yeah, IDK

Mods and Admins can still see it and could potentially un-delete the thread.
However, even though I feel it's unfair to the community to share something really helpful and then take it away again, I also feel (more strongly) it is a person's right to delete their own posts/threads. Thus I personally won't be restoring the thread.

I sincerely hope that someone else will take the time to do another thread like it though.

What he said...All the stupid diys are gone or deleted. I understand the concept and have no issues with wiring, I would just like other opinions/ pictures of what people have done

I understand your frustration but I'm with NFSP, if the OP of a thread removed it for a specific reason I think it would be disrespectful to restore it so I wouldn't do it either. Hope you all can understand that logic.
