i was looking to get either oem rear rotors or some aftermarket rears. budget is @ 250 atm. i was looking at some ebay slotted only ones. but not sure if anyone has bought any of that, so im not sure on that.

 

^ Idk man, If I were you I would skip ebay shiz and get some name brand stuff.

Brakes are what stop you, dont cheap out on that.

was only wondering if anyone had a experience with a brand in ebay that they could compare to oem. if not im just going to do oem.

 

If your budget is 250 and the oems are cheaper, i'd say get them.

 

PM riverside about Stoptech slotted rotors. They were cheap when i got my fronts.

I would stick with OEM unless you're driving requires an upgrade. If anything upgrade your pads first..

 

quick question i saw somewhere in the suspension and wheel thread, It went like "bigger wheel (20') dont require you to get bigger brakes BUT because of the larger rim size and added weight its RECOMMENDED to do an upgrade" now someone tell me if thats true because ive been saving up for some wheels and not sure if its best to get the brake upgrade.....

PS i know some guys who got ebay rotors/brakes and said no complaints....HOWEVER i also heard about HAWK pads.....and now im staying far away from em "dont get me wrong they stop...but noise is ridiculous"

Centric owns Stoptech and their rotors are good. Rock Auto has them for $20-$80 depending on the quality level. RockAuto also sells Stoptech if you need the brand name.

I have those slotted and I must say I am very happy.

 

+1. I would get some Centric rotors. Centric makes very good rotors, and as stated, they own Stoptech. I was able to get a set of rear Centric rotors for $48 from Brake Warehouse. I got a set of Front rotors for $60 from the same place. I highly recommend Centric rotors. My car stops better and smoother.

 

It's my understanding that slotted rotors don't do much to improve braking on an OEM setup and it's more for looks than anything.
