Guys we have a rare one! lol, At night when you tap on the brakes take a look/glance at the rear deck/Glass you should easily be able to tell if the lights on. Monitor it over the next few weeks, you might be shocked. Mine stops working for maybe 3 hours in a month, yea and I catch it, but it should be working 100% with no oh maybe it will work when I hit my brakes now.

lol, I wonder if they will wonder why they are all of a sudden getting complaints about it :P

They haven't called me yet and I think I was one of the first to submit. If they call you up make sure to post up about it!

I believe they dont always call but they sometimes call to get more info, but I think the problem is straight forward.

I've found mine is humidity related.

If its humid out...it won't work. But if it's a dry day it works fine.

I'd say it only works 10% of the time, for the first 10 minutes of driving, then I presume that it gets to warm to keep working.

I got sick of it, and bought a simply 5 LED array on ebay, and wired it up to the existing wires, it works like new, although likely not up to highway safety requirements.

I complained about this over a year ago to Infiniti and Nissan. There is no way that they are going to recall this. The repair would take them WAY too many hours of labor (ie.. money) to fix it. If the government ever forces them to recall it, i'm guessing they will simply eat the NHTSA fines and any lawsuits that can be linked to it (Ford Pinto).
