Exclamation Infiniti Consumer Affairs F*ck Over Regarding Rear Window Brake Light Issue

Guess what?

Infiniti does not even know about the rear window brake light problem. I just called today.

They wanted me to get my car diagnosed at the dealer for $125 and hour. Essentially they wanted ME to pay for their R&D.

Please everyone call Infiniti Consumer Affairs today. 1-800-662-6200. Then press 6 to go to consumer affairs.

What is this rear brake light problem? Never heard of it as well, but I have the OEM spoiler so no rear brake light.

3rd brake light failing prematurely.

One of the major selling points of LED lights is that they outlive halogen bulbs and should last a long time.

BUT, seems the 3rd brake light on the 03-06 sedan is prone to premature failure....especially the 03/04. nearly every 03/04 i see on the road has a failed 3rd brake light.

the light in my 06 works whenever it wants. Voltage is always present, so i assume it's a fault in the light itself.

Yea its on your spoiler lol. Take a look at other G's rear brake light, the one that is behind the glass, not spoiler. If its a 03/04 G is most likely out.

But people who have the rear brake light inside on the back window. It will go out intermittently or just not work at all.

Mine works when it wants too. Op maybe contact nhsta or w/e that gov organization that deals with crashtest and recalls.

Does anyone have a light they replaced themselves that does not work? Why not provide Infiniti with that light for their R&D?

My third brake light works some days and some days it doenst

I know this because we all back into our spaces at work and the building has windows right by my parking spot.

It didnt work this morning. It worked most days last week.

I had my car inspected in August and the inspector said you only need two lights rear in Texas (or atleast my county)
