New to the site. I recently totaled my 01 altima. Im in the market for a new car it will definitely be a 2006 G35 sedan. Ive been looking at a few but I really don't know much about the packages.(drove a 03 a while back) The only thing that i really want is real spoiler car and it's really not important but i do want the sport tuned suspension also and i think that that comes on the sports package. Is there a sports package with the sport suspension that does not have a spoiler. (that may be what im looking at) I don't want the x all wheel drive. Is there any way to tell the models apart sports package, premium package A B or C. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated I plan on buying the car before the end on NOV Thanks!!!! Also is there a major difference in performance from any of the packages beside the sports tuned suspension. Sorry this is so long?

 

Sports pkg is overrated IMO. I mean, it's a nice little extra on top... but I wouldn't go out of my way to look for one, or pay extra for it. You would be better off spending that extra money modifying the suspension to be better than the "sport package"

yes you can get the sports package without the spoiler (mine came that way) u can take the Vin number and call an infiniti dealer and they can pull it up and tell ur all the packages that are on the car.

Thanks gentlemen. I think im going to go ahead and get the car this weekend. Found out that it is the journey package. The only thing that I want is the spoiler do you guys think it would be ok to install an aftermarkte spoiler or just buy 1 from infiniti. Any suggestions appreciated

 

I like the "M3 style" lip spoiler better.

Also, I saw one of these on a BMW the other day... looked really sweet.
The decklid on a G is usually really close to the same width as the 3 series, so one of these might actually work on the G

You sure it's an 06? IIRC the journey package only available for 07+. You might want to double check that.

 

No im not 100% sure its a journey. But it is what im looking for has the surnoof nice wheels (which will be on for a couple months) leather. The only thing is the spoiler and the car only has 38,000 miles on it. I like the bmw spoiler but I want it to be a little higher or as close to factory as possible. Thanks again

 

So since my '06 g35 has a spoiler, does that mean its the sport package? Does it have the sport suspension? That chart doesn't makes sense, I thought sport suspension coils were red, mine are black in the rear I can't see my fronts. Sorry for the thread jack, but I thought mine was a base model with the added spoiler. Can anybody show me what the rear difusers look like?

 

Sunroof can come by itself without being included in the premium package, and what size is the "nice wheels"? 38k miles is low for an 06, which is not bad but like someone said, get the VIN and call Infiniti to get all info on package and maintenance records. Post a link if you have one.

The chart lists the optional packages and the features included, but know that some of the features, such as sun/moon roof and spoiler, can be installed alone from factory without the entire package. So having a spoiler doesn't necessarily mean you got the sports package. Check your windows sticker or call Infiniti to find out.

 

Does anyone actually have a g35 without a sunroof? You would think that is kinda rare....especially in the 05/06 and later years.


I do remember someone posting a bare bones 2003.0....with no sunroof and cloth seats.

 

I own a 2006 base sedan with the spoiler, maybe the rear difusers, I'm not sure about the difusers since I don't know where they are or what they look like. It's not a sport package either because my suspension coils are black. I don't have a sunroof or navigation and its equipped with the crappy Clarion head unit.

 

Mike (OCG35) doesn't have a sunroof. His is an 04.5
