I hate to bring up vtec...lol but if we had a high lobe on our cams it would allow for a better powerband because you could tune the low lobe for torque and get really aggressive with the high lobe. It's a shame nissan never brought the SR20VE over here

guess I'll have to put K20 heads on my vq...lol

^^^ there are plenty of aggressive after-market cams... on the DE the exhaust cam is not adjustable (cant do anything with tuning on the exhaust side)...

^^^. if u make it work ill put one on too...

I thought that the exhaust wasnt adjustable?

(good thing i got a rev up so both can)

but cam phasing doesnt make any where near as much power as VTEC.......

and I cant believe that on VVEL is only on the intake side, and further more there is no cam phasing with vvel....

WOW i bet if nissan got vvel on both sides and with cam phasing i bet that ening can do atleast another 30-40 whp in stock form

yeah but its just one aggressive lobe, rather then one for low end and and one for high end. moot point though since our cars dont work like that

It's times like this I wish I were blue.

The 60ft/ET/trap banter doesn't need to be deleted, just moved into its own thread.

Besides, I already apologized to OP for fubar-ing his thread - but I think his stuff was answered anyway (or was it?)

^Yeah, I know

I'm slowly getting better about not derailing threads (unless I do it on purpose )

Like I said though, it's a fairly interesting discussion, it's just lost in the wrong thread.

Yes... I'm about to go OT even more... but what the heck, this thread is so far from it's topic anyway

That's one of the few things that bugs me about this site's moderation. Posts don't get moved and topics split or merged as needed, stuff just gets deleted or not :/

^^^ 80% of the time the OT ends up being more interesting/entertaining/informative that the OP.

Sometimes we should get some kind of site credit for saving a failed thread

*not specifically this thread - just in general
