Re: Tein H-techs

For a start, go to Tein's website to see the differences in spring rates. I believe the coupe's springs are a little shorter than the sedan ones - so the car will sit lower than the published drop using sedan springs.

Note that the both the Tein sedan and coupe springs are not a big improvement over the OEM springs with the aero-sport handling package -- from a handling perspective.

Re: Tein H-techs

i just checked it and it seems to have the same spring rate
i guess it fits both sedan and coupe but lowers differently
i just wanted to make sure cause the box on it says coupe 03+
i don't have the aero sport suspension mines just a premium
i'm goin with the H-techs cuz i got coupe rims and i can't lower it that much or it will hit the fenders
i asked the same Q on G35.ca but no one answered me...haha
chat with u over there

Re: Tein H-techs

Im pretty sure that the coupe Teins will lower the sedan 1" more than the published drop for the coupe....i.e. if it says that the drop on the coupe is say .5" in front then on the sedan it will really be 1.5"......good luck.

Re: Tein H-techs

The OEM coupe suspension is about 1 in lower in the rear and only about 1/4 in lower in the front than the sedan sport suspension. It is not the same as the 350z suspension which lowers the car by 1in at all four corners. I know this because I use to have a coupe suspension on my car before I got the 350Z H-Techs. I would reccommend the 350Z H-techs over the coupe as you will not get a very even drop on the sedan with the coupe H-tech setup. With the 350z H-techs you should get about 1.3 in the front and 1.2 in the rear. My new measurements from wheel center to the fender is 14 1/8in at all four corners now ( this was with half a tank of gas, so the rear may squat another 8th or so)

Re: Tein H-techs

av8r, I wanted to thank you for your continued recommendations for the 350Z H-tech springs. I knew I wanted to lower my sedan but I was not sure which spring to use, as I was not that impressed with the available springs for the G-35 sedan. After reading your threads on the 350Z H-Tech springs I ordered a set and they came in today. I think this spring offers a reasonable drop with a good spring rate. I cannot wait to install them. Thanks again.

Tom

Re: Tein H-techs

Hey av8r, did u pick the 350Z H-Tein over the regular Sedan H-Tein because it dropped it a bit more in the rear? The Sedan H drops 1.4 front, .7 rear with the luxury of not having to mess with camber issues. Your 350Z H goes 1.3 front, 1.2 rear, but did it have issues with getting back to spec without camber kit?....just wondering if you compared the two setups and what you found to be positive/negative......
