Lakeshore Slate Pictures

I took some pics of a lakeshore slate sedan the other day with my cell phone. I'd like to share it with the forum. This color looks very good under California sun. I would describe it as steel blue, similar to the BMW blue-greyish color but looks better.

ps: The hole in the front bumper in the first picture - I think it's an extra air duct for G35x front differential cooling.

Thanks for the pics Suk. The color is ok, but Infiniti has totally effed up the sedan for 2005. I just can't believe they could mess it up so badly. Looks like a frikken Altima now.

Rear tailights pop out and are so bubly now, it looks much more rounded and fat! I love a cars rear to be narrow up top and wider towards the bottom, not the other way around! Ex: An M3, trunk is narrow then it gets so wide and with wider wheels, its so aggressive looking, hard to picture but i dont think it look proportionate!

Re: Lakeshore Slate Pictures

Come on guys...

Comments like these are little more than flamebait for those buying an 05. With that said, I'll bite.

The rear lights now flow with the overall styling theme of the car. Ditto for the front bumper. It's much more clean looking. The older bumper looked like a double chin and made the front look way too busy. It also clashed with the round headlights & assembly.

Let's not even get started on the improvements in the interior, engine, brakes, tranny, etc...

Yeah, they really messed up the 05 sedan. LOL!

Just like my wife!!!!

BTW - I agree, the 05 rear is not as nice as the 03-04.

I agree with others that have said the rear on the current model looks better.

Re: Lakeshore Slate Pictures

Re: Lakeshore Slate Pictures

I agree with iLLG35, the front looks better but the back probably looks worse ... although I think all the changes taken together will be much more subtle than the "glaring" differences in any one feature, like the tail lights. Still the exact same car, but every tiny improvement helps justify getting back into car payments after hanging onto my 97 Maxima all these years.

05 6MT probaby isn't even a tenth faster to 60, but with the new front grill, tires and brakes, plus the refreshed center console and dash, you're seeing a nice update to an already incredible value.

I'm sure as soon as I drive off the lot, Infiniti will announce an upcoming 06 hybrid version that's faster and gets 40 MPG ... LOL
