Question How to remove radiator support and front fender?

My radiator / core support crack from accident and passanger front fender bent. I'm getting the core support and new fender, thinking of doing it my self. I been looking around google and here but no one done a DIY for it. Can anybody tell me how or if u have a diagram to help me where all the bolts and such would be appreciate it :-)

I dont know about the radiator support but i can help with the fender.

First pop your hood, second on the side were your replacing the fender there should be some screws running along the side. loosen thoes then you will have to go under the side skirts and loosen all of thoes too. to take off the fender you have to remove the side skirts its very simple. after taking off the side skirt. There should be a screw at the bottom of the fender remove that and the fender will come right out! i currently at my desk so i cant go into detail such as (pics) or a little better directions but thats the best i can do right now hope that gave you a idea...

Just label and bag the bolts as you go and take pics if you are worried. Makes it a little easier when it goes back together.

You will be fine, if Project can do it you can too. (He's a Yankee fan )

I had to do this about 3 months ago, broken support, actually replaced it with a support from an AT model into my 6MT. It's really not bad. Only a handful of bolts(4?) keep the bumper on.Place some blocks under the radiator so you don't have to disconnect it and it'll be easy. The worst part was disconnecting the headlamp assembly from the bulb holder. With some dicking off, should take around 4 hours. And its nice to have someone around handing you wrenches when you need it, definitely makes for a faster repair

This is kinda an old thread but what did you guys do about your ac lines? Did you have to evacuate & recharge your system? Also is it the same on the coupe as it is on a sedan?

Yes a machine has to suck it out and put it back in. Back in the day shops would just put a small screwdriver in the hole and it would disperse into the air. Freon can be dangerous if it comes into direct contact with you.

I didn't have to touch the AC lines to do a core support change. Maybe your talking about the coolant lines? Unless your replacing the radiator, you shouldn't have to undo any of them. Just place a block under the radiator to keep it in position while you change out the core support.
