I'm so proud of myself.

First of all, I would like to say thank you to G35 Driver. It was because of the forum that I was able to perform a thermostat change by myself. The thermostat change took a little long, but it was worth saving a lot of money from the stealership. Again, thank you to such a great forum with helpful members.

Apparently, there is no DIY for a thermostat change. However, here is something helpful.

Changing the thermostat is not that hard. You just need to remove the OEM air intake system to have space to work with. Next, drain the radiator and disconnect the two hoses that are connected to the thermostat. Then, remove the 3 bolts holding the thermostat in place.

When you're installing the new thermostat, it helps a lot to use some Permatex RTV sealant to glue the gasket to the thermostat so it's easier to align the bolts with the thermostat and gasket.

It all starts with something simple like that, next thing you know you'll be swapping motors haha.

Hahaha, good point! I love doing my own work on my car too, it's like "bonding time".
