Question ABS, VDC Off, Slip, and AWD lights

I know there is a thread for this deep in the general tech sub-forum, but I am in dire need of suggestions and feel I will have better exposure reposting here.

The ABS, VDC Off, Slip, and AWD lights on my 2004 G35x sedan are lit up. I called Infiniti and was told it is most likely in need of more fluid and/or brake pads. Unlike skiss12, the ABS light goes away when the engine is turned off. Anyone else with an AWD experience this?

Checked my brake fluid level and it is okay. The dealer quoted me $360 for front brake pads.

UPDATE: Took my car into a local mechanic. I had a dealer replace the LF wheel bearing kit roughly 3 weeks ago. My mechanic said the teeth in the ring gear are damaged which in turn is telling the sensor that something is uneven or unbalanced, not really sure which one he said. He said the ring gear could only be replaced by replacing the axle. Does this sound legit? When asked how much it would cost he said that a rough estimate (without looking at parts prices) would be $200 including labor.

He wants to replace the Ring gear? For $200?

Does he mean the small teeth for the abs sensor? What he is saying holds weight, but had for us to tell you if this is the issue. Need more clarification on what part he wants to replace.

I assume he is saying that the left front axle needs replacing since the ring gear can't be bought separately. He is looking for a way to correct the issue without having to replace the entire component, but he is also having trouble finding a left front axle from a non-dealer.

That makes more sense. $200 parts and labor is not a bad price if he can deliver it.

Of course hard tom say if the ring is bad without seeing pics. Usually they just fill up with metal shavings and gunkmand the sensor can't get a reading. A quick blast of brake cleaner usually cleans this up.

Also, the sensors can fail due to water and such.

Take a look at the ring, does it look damaged! How bout the sensor tip!

Thanks for the tips. I'll be honest and say that I am mechanically challenged. I'm glad there are people like you that can assist me and help me from making poor but expensive decisions. My car is in the shop so I can't check on what your suggesting I look at, but I will as soon as I get the chance. Thanks again for all your help.
