off-topic but since you have both seats and your swapping out. can you take pictures of the connectors under both seats for me.

Sounds like you have the exact same seat as me to start with. 05 memory/heated from a prem model.

Re-use your connector from your OEM seat.

turtle, I'm back to the grind at work and wondered if you'd like pictures of the sedan driver's and coupe passenger seat bottoms? Those are the 2 off the car atm and I don't know when I'm going to be able to get back to working on the project for a couple of weeks at least. I can tell you that the passenger plug for power to the seat is different on the coupe than the sedan.

HDET, I'll look into that and see if that might work.

Ashley, I would honestly need someone to help me with that as I am clueless about most things electrical.

Thanks all for your suggestions.

w/e you have time to do and label. I've been waiting for a local deal to pop up. Been holding back for 05-06 model. Good thing about stone is either stone or black can work for me.

from the other 2-3 threads i read. The pass side normally plugs right on up and you need about 3-4 wires to repin or splice on the drivers.

Both side heater connectors and airbag harnesses should be plug and play. Its just the power on either.

Does your sedan harness plug into the coupe seats? So all it needs is repinning or do you need to splice around it.

i asked a seller a while back to send me pictures of the connectors so i can figure out a possible splice points. This is what i have and i'm trying to make sense out of it.

I dont know which one is what. obviously yellows are SRS

there should be 6pin connector x 2 for the driver side of a sedan and just a 6 pin connector on the pass.

1 6pin for up/down recline/decline
1 6pin for tilt

if he blew a fuse, then that item would not work at all. broken fuse= no power going to X part. Its not fuse related.

I think the few sedans that have done the seat swap, none were memory seat cars to begin with... not sure positive on that tho.

Mine was not memory seats and the seats I put in weren't either. My power connectors were different than the coupe seats also and it was a nightmare to get the forward/back sliding function to work as well. Ended up by passing something and using my control switches from the sedan seats.

I'm going to see if I can get out early in the morning to check out swapping the harnesses. Outside of that getting 05 coupe and sedan wiring manuals to figure out exactly what wire does what to be able to splice seems to be my next step. I just can't figure out what in the power harness caused the original non-starting issue. Something was cutting fuel or spark.

turtle, I'm sure you have seen this thread but if you haven't it shows some decent pictures. I'll get you what I can tomorrow and post them up.

i had memory seats on my sedan before going to a non-memory seat coupe seat.

I found a wiring diagram deep within this forum and followed the wiring to a T and it worked. Upon clicking blue dreams above link, I realized its the one I followed.

This wiring that I used was like this:

Black - Thick Black

White - Thick Red AND Thick Red with a white line

Grey with Blue Stripe - Thick Yellow green stripe

Light Green with Black Stripe - Thick Yellow

Aaron, I think that's the consensus for the 03-04 seats but I think the 05-06 have different colored wires. I haven't been able to confirm that though. What years did you swap? IIRC you have an 04 sedan, what year coupe seats did you get?

I'd like Marcus to chime in as well since he has an 05. Marcus, where are ya?

That's why the picture you followed worked. 05-06 are different i believe.
