I just bought my G used, and I only received 1 key since the original owner lost the other key. Anyone have idea where to create a replacement key for G35? I already bought a used remote from ebay, it is from 03 G35 coupe. Btw my car is 03 G35 sedan. I went to the dealer but i think they are asking for aorund 300 bucks for the key and the remote.

 

A local dealership quoted me $69 for a key and $43 to have it programmed. That was for an extra master key.

 

The Vehicle Immobilizer System Keys have a programmable chip in them which make them very expensive.
An Infiniti dealer is the only place to buy them and $100/ key sounds about right.
Did you get the valet key, and the wallet key? You might want to consider them too.

wallet key won't start the car, as i came to found out when i lost my key in my parents yard. my dad had to give me a lift home to pick up the other key... he found my key the next day, but it still sucked...

the valet key i had is now in the python responder remote start module somewhere under the dashboard of my car.

you need that extra key, trust me. shell out the cash and get it.

Dealers are terrible at transferring all the keys and remotes to a car, I don't understand what the problem is, they can keep track of them for a new car, so why do they lose them for a used one, makes no sense!

If you have the valet key, why not use it as the valet key does everything but lock/unlock the glove compartment, which we don't lock anyway? If you have no valet key, the next cheapest thing is to buy a Nissan key for about $55.00 I bought a replacement key fob for the automatic locks on ebay for less than $20 and programmed it myself.

All of the infiniti dealers were quoting $250 to over $300 for a new Infiniti key and fob.

 

I just got a used '04 G and am lovin' it. But, only got one key and fob with it - no valet, extra, wallet, nothing. Quite a drag when I found out just what was involved in getting even one more.

So, I just bought a fob off of ebay and want to know how to program it? The dealer wants to charge me an enormous sum of $$$ just to program it. Good grief.

I recently bought a 03 G35 as well and, of course, the dealer had only one key for me.

When I called them the day after buying the car, asking about a spare key, the service guy gave me a quote for $125.
However, since I had just bought the car from them, he said he would work something out.

I got my new key and remote this morning. For free!
