idle issue...Possibly related to TB cleaning?

A couple weeks ago i was having idle problems; took it in to my mechanic and said that it could just be a dirty Throttle body. I had him clean it and put a new transmission pan gasket in as well since my other guy forgot too . the next day when i get it back i get a CEL and it comes back with an idle issue... I just did some reading anout how prissy our TBs can be and im wondering that if my mechanic just took it out and cleaned it with soap, water, and a toothbrush if he could have really screwed up my throttle body.

Any input?

is your idle too high or too low?? I'm currently experiencing some issues with my idling as well. my SES light came on and i went to pull the code. It tells me that my idle RPM is higher than expected.

i think the idle relearn is done by unplugging the negative. but i also read somewhere else that the computer is always adjusting to a cars changes so it isnt needed.. but thats obviously not the case.

ask him if he moved the throttle plate itself, if so you need a new TB because he messed up the little gears inside. I had the same thing happen to me.

and as far as the idle relearn its really simple
