Dismantling reverse lights
Dismantling reverse lights
Has anyone taken apart our reverse lights? I have 03/04 reverse lights and I'm thinking of doing something creative with the look.
What I need to know is if it's screwed on or if I need to bake it open.
too lazy to check

I got my hands on a set of 05/06 tails and I really like how the 2nd gen sedan's tail lights and reverse combo looks. So what I'm trying to do is make our reverse light look similar to the 2nd gen's.
What do you guys think?

That was originally the route I was going to take. But I thought I'd try something different with the ones I have and if I mess up or it turns out ugly, then I'd get the 05/06 version.

I want to get rid of it completely, fill and paint the trunk. Fabricate the reverse tail into one or both of the circular deflectors of my 06 tails.
^ thanks ashley
Don't know why I come into reverse light threads anymore. Not like I care lol
Yes they are plastibonded! Basically plastic melted to stick to each other.
If you want that look, you best bet would be to remove the red lines than take them to a body shop and have them mask off those slits and then spray red candy over them (or reduced red) to match your tails.
That's what I'd do at least.
