are u the original owner of that g, because if that vent aint there, there is NO WAY that is an X. Impossible that yours is the only one without a front vent when its an x. If youre the 2nd owner, better get a good lawyer, cause you were not sold an x thats for sure if thats what you were told.
Uh.... or.... maybe the previous owner got in a fender-bender and the shop ordered the wrong bumper.Originally Posted by yassy

Since they bolt right up, the shop or the previous owner might not even notice.

You may want to check out what Yassy said... I'm just glad you and your friend are okay.

Yassy, I'm the second owner. My VIN on my title shows it as an X. A title goes by the VIN number which doesn't lie. Also I just punched in the VIN online. Here is the result below. Also I am attaching a photo with a red outline around the front bumper where I see what I would call a "vent"

^All of them have those two vents.
The normal AWD bumper has a small vent between those two, directly below the tag.

your car may have not been fixed right. it has the WRONG bumper on it. what happened to it that required front bumper. you best do investigation on this, it could of led to your crash...

This is the vent. Right dead center under the lisence plate.

All 05/06 g35x have this.
So either your car is not an x (doubtful) or the car was hit and the front bumper replaced with the standard rwd bumper.

My guess is the car must have needed a new bumper and they put a non X bumper on it. Thanks for looking out for me everyone!
I guess the car must have needed a new bumper and they put a non-X one on it. I bought it mint so what did I know? Car is going now. That's not what caused my crash I can say that for certain. What caused my crash was speed. Plain and simple stupidity.

I think it looks stupid IMHO, but my car is black and it's barely noticeable under the front plate
