i figured. i didn't have any collars on my stock sway bars. none. not even anything that would remotely resemble a collar. it was just the bar and the clamps that hold the bushings. please excuse my ignorance. if anyone can help. what years are the cars that these are on, that you people have seen them personally. i have an '04 sedan rwd w/sport and aero package. please help. i'm asking because i want to see if my car was supposed to have something that everybody else has. thank you. i'd do a search, but i don't ever remember seeing this in any other thread.

Why don't you take a pic of your sway bar for us to verify.

ALL the Gs and Zs have the same exact sway bar and have collars built-in ... as far as I'm aware of.

Most hardware store should have em. Marine grease will also work. The best is the still the extra sticky stuff that came w. the sway bars.

dklau33...
I'm not arguing whether or not Clint (aka THX723) has given good advice or not... I'm simply stating what Hotchkis responded to me when I questioned the absence of the collars.

The true test will be the performance and condition of all the compnents after a period of time. I've had mine on for about 3000 mi. and have tracked my car once since installing -- so far so good.

I've found an equivalent grease which works as good as what was supplied, but I believe it is only available in Canada... at least under its name-brand. I purchased it through an automotive supply shop which specializes in supplying hard to find (non general consumables) items directly to repair shops.

I'll post the namebrand in a later post.

BbyG35... I wasn't implying that you were arguing in your post. Hopefully no offense was taken if it seemed that way. I was just trying to convey that what Clint said is sound advice and good commentary. Good luck with your setup.

Hey... no prob dklau... I agree that Clint has given much good advice in the past and I have always looked for his response when someone posts a question.

Clint... that's a thinly disguised compliment
