a compression rod being bad wouldnt really be noticeable by your or driving, its like one of those parts that can be bad and you wont even know it youll be driving just fine
you sure it isnt your control arm bushings??

it is indeed the bushing, but it can not be replaced on its own the entire arm is required

^The bushing themselves can be replaced, but you'll have to take them to to a shop with a press to have the old ones pressed out and the new ones pressed in. If you think the ball joint on the compression rod is going bad too, then I suggest getting a whole new rod.

You obviously have never driven on a bad compression rod. It WILL effect the way car drives, both handling and steering. Trust me, I drove on a bad one for a little over a year.

Compression rod bushings are known to go out as well, control arm bushings don't go bad as often.

Please do not recommend this to anyone. I have done this, bought a new bushing for 25$ + tax and delivery, got it pressed in for 70$, and the noise got reduced slightly. after 2 months its back full force so i wasted over 100 dollars for nothing.

I was responding to your statement above, which is incorrect.
That sucks you have already replaced the bushings and it didn't take care of your problem. Some people have had luck with the revised compression rod bushings.

What kind of noises are you hearing?

a compression rod doesnt do anything its the bushings on it, which can be bought thats why i asked if hes sure! because its pretty hard to break a piece of steel,
so i know what i was talking about, i drove on a bad BUSHING just like you not a compression rod
