Agree 100%, I think it sounds like ****.
This is what I have and when I switched from the z mid to the 05 sedan mid, I could barely tell the difference. My goal was to reduce the drone on the HKS and I think it helped a little. I also have the HR Y-pipe fyi.

I also have a hole in my resonator.
Seems that there are two reasonable options for midpipe replacement:
1) g35 coupe (what years would bolt on to an 04 sedan?)
2) g35 sedan (been told that 05/06 sounds better and is lighter)
Do any of you have an opinion?
Replacing the current resonator seems like the worst thing to do at the moment due to weight and cost. The mechanic offered a straight pipe (resonator delete i suppose its called) but I've seen some videos on youtube and it sounds terrible.
What about a Magnaflow resonator as a replacement?
So torn!

Sounds really weird, but I'm guessing it's from whatever you're using to record the audio (plus it's windy). Got any better recording devices?
