If you are thinking of compression rods, then you won't find a whiteline bushing for that.

Whiteline makes all the front end bushings minus the CR. Energy suspension just came out with a front end kit for G35 that includes the CR bushing, but can't be purchases separately. You can also go OEM...

Just google this. There are alot of vendors. I got my whiteline transverline (aka lower control arm - not the compression rod) bushings from JC Speed.

Here is a link to the TSB - note on page 7 they recommend replacing the whole assembly on the x models if rusty - they are made of iron on X's.

i think the 1s that make all the squeak is the controll arms...

i still have got my whitelines. . and havnt put them on yet..

but when i went to the shop.. the bushing were shot.. and it was almost metal on metal rubbing.... hence making the squeaking noise..

if that doesnt work -

go 2 plan b --- ( blow up the car ) lol no more squeak then =D

There are aftermarket solutions available too.
Actually, corporate updated the TSB quite a while back instructing dealer service departments not to replace the entire arm, but to press in new bushing... undoubtedly they realized the wasted expense in replacing so many arms...

for convenience sake and time savings, some dealers will still replace entire arm - but I dont know how they are getting reimbursed because the current TSB specifically states replace bushing only...

^^^ nicely done

I'm going to try replacing the bushings first. I hope it helps, if not then the rods will be changed.

I've talked to a mechanic who will be doing the bushing swap and he recommended OEM bushings because Polytherane is stiff, therefore, there will be more vibration passed through them. Unless I track the car, I prefer comfortable right. Just FYI.

Unless the compression rod is damaged, you only need ot replace the bushing. the other end of it is a ball joint that I haven't heard of going bad yet on this forum.

Energy suspension bushings are notorious for making lots of squeaking noise, but for a bushing that will probably outlast the car and to have a perfect alignment this might be worth it.

Funny thing is, dealer and another shop said that replacing bushings along won't fix the issue. I hope they are wrong because I would be out couple hundred bux for nothing....

The bushing is 99.9% of the time the issue. It wears quickly. The ball join was still fine on my CR after 100k. Unless you bent the rod then you wasted a few hundred.

Any way to prevent this? I'm considering buying a full front and rear kit, but don't really want to add any additional squeaks. Don't polyurethane bushings require grease?
