You can adjust your current hinge slightly to take care of the issue. It's easier to do with 2 people working on it. Loosen the 2 nuts on the hinge, move the hood in the direction you need to and re-tighten. Test the fitment and if you're good, torque them down.

Like Max said, it's a good idea to lube the hinges occasionally.

It may be too far gone, but you want to use white lithium grease to lube it. It's almost completely un-scented, and your fresh air intake for the cabin is right next to the passenger hinges, so if you use WD-40, PBlaster, or any other lube, you'll be smelling it in your car for weeks.

First - Shove a (clean) rag between the hood and the fender to keep it from rubbing metal on metal anymore. Don't open the hood without the rag in there.

When mine began rubbing, I was able to correct it by just liberally applying the white lithium grease and shaking the hood up and down a lot. I did this every day for a week straight, and it stopped rubbing completely, and I just give it a squirt of grease every few months. No problems at all.

I wouldn't suggest touching the bolts for the hood at all.

The problem stems from the weird bend in the hood hinge. If the hinge binds at all (runs out of grease) there's huge mechanical advantage going against the un-reinforced hinge to cause it to bend and rub. If it bind really bad, the bend becomes permanent. If it's just binding slightly, it bends but returns to normal once the force is removed.

there are no bolts, there are two studs with nuts... its perfectly fine to loosen the nuts and align the hood... I'm borderline ocd when it comes to things being symmetrical, I used to align the hood every few months.

The pita comes if/when you need to adjust the latch bracket (should never need to be done unless you've removed it or had it removed).

I had this exact same problem on the driver side corner of my hood. I ordered replacement hinges online for ~$50 but didn't end up needing them. Once I looked at them a little harder I realized they are a really poor/weak design. They were probably designed by some engineering intern...

I fixed my hinges by placing a small wood block under the hinge with the hood open and then lowering the hood partially (slowly!!!) bending the hinge back. You'll want to do this a few times lowering it a little bit more each time until the hood lines up correctly. Then I lubed the hinges with WD40. I doubt you'll have much luck getting any grease into the actual pivot. My hood lines up perfectly now and clears the corner of the fender as it should.
