Dirty Air Filter

I have a stock air filter that I replaced about 5k/7months ago and today I happen to look at it and noticed quite a bit of dirt and seems it needs to be cleaned. Most of dirt/grime seems to be on the right bottom corner for the filter looking at the installed filter standing at the front of the car.

I noticed similar dirt concentrated on the right side when I replaced the old air filter. Anyone has seen similar accumulation?
or its just me? Is it normal?

Re: Dirty Air Filter

Normal... all the air is rushing in and moving from left to right, so the dirt will naturally end up there.

Re: Dirty Air Filter

chinee,

Thanks make sense now the duct on the left side let most of the air so it has to go left ot right. I just thought the front openning must let a lot of air in too, but I guess not.
