From my understanding, the wiring was fairly straight forward. Once again, you'll have better luck contacting the guys who did the swap, since they know the ins and out of it. The stock gauges will need converter boxes to work.

Gotcha. The guages are my biggest concern but I still don't know if I want to keep the factory cluster or not. Might be able to buy something whizzy by the time I'm done collecting parts.

lol at taking credit for someone else's build, but seriously this forum is beyond help if you guys think its ok to swap a 2jz in for im guessing an attempt at making more power then you can make with a VQ and trying to put that power down through 245 nexans....what is the point? extra long fender destroying burnouts? sell that car to someone who knows what to do with it.

Even if he did finish someone else's build, cant blame someone for wanting a motor thats infinitely better than a factory VQ.

some base cost numbers when i was thinking of this swap before going LSX
http://tech2motorsports.com/products.php?p=471 $2200

Motor with auto trans you can find everywhere for $1400.00 shipped. Add $4,000 for the 6 speed. Then not to mention all the fabrication needed for the water lines, ac lines (this guy doesn't run ac) , fuel return, and harness. Harness will work like the LSX swaps the ECU is put in to a dead state (only used for information to pass through), then use a CAN bus harness so everything can run with stock function except for the stock tach. You can use the R154 5 speed trans in place of the auto trans for a cheaper alternative.

If you have any questions or need anything else let me know.
Thanks,
-Logan

It will see a little bit of the public roads, however the 10gal fuel cell may keep me from wanting to travel cross country with it. However it will be trailered to tour the country for events.
