I put on my HR y pipe and coupe middy back on today. After I was done and started it up, it sounded fine. But I noticed when I let off the gas, a loud rattle could be heard. Also when im driving at low rpms. Hopefully you can hear it in the video. Anyone know how to fix this?? I have no idea what it is. All of the bolts are tightened down and gaskets are in too. I think it might have to do with my cats though.

 

I cant hear the rattle in the sound clip. The first thing that comes to mind is the heat shields for the cats. The welds can come loose and cause a rattle. Its nothing to worry about, just anoying. But that is just a guess since I couldnt hear the rattle.

Yeah thats the loudest one at the 9 second mark. You have to listen really close. I took the video on my iphone.

A couple of local guys said that it was the dampers on my HR y-pipe. I will check it out today.

 

Figured it out guys, when I installed/took off my hfc's I left the cat brace off, so those bolts were rattling around. I really appreciate the help though.
